Christmas on the Other Side

CHRISTMAS ON THE OTHER SIDE

Christmas on the other side

Angels celebration

The ones who sang Hosanna’s chorus

Now sing of so Great Salvation!

He the Lord Himself is there

We know He loveth hymns

He knows the New Song, we shall sing

When all the choir is in.

Then communion brings its cup

We shall taste the new wine

Living with the Bread of Heaven

What marvel so divine!

And all the saints, yes, all the saints

Shall be bowing lowly

Confessing Jesus Christ as Lord

Saying, “Holy, Holy, Holy!”

Dressed in our clothes of Righteousness

Fitted by the Master

We shall live forevermore

What more, could one ask for?

All around Heaven's throne

Saints and angels rejoicing

For the pleasures of our Lord

He, Who had a voice in.

Let there be light and light there was

He spoke and it was done

Shall speak again to gathered men

To each and everyone.

Welcome home my children

You that have believed on My Son

Depart ye cursed into everlasting darkness

All ye wicked ones.

There the separation

The utter agony

When lost men are enlightened

To their eternal destiny.

Jesus Christ is living

He truly is the Son

This thought they take along with them

Their souls know final doom.

God has to wipe away

Every Christian's tears

And remove from each ones mind

Remembrance of former years.

As I live by faith

By faith I do believe

He that believeth on the Son

He shall surely live!

Hell, a word taken lightly

Spoken each day by men

Will soon become a nightmare

To those who continue in sin.

A literal place that the Bible

Speaks of with Holy Breath

Will be cast into the Lake of Fire

This is second death.

Lord I pray for sinners

Cause their eyes to see

God expressed in humanness

Jesus living in me

Make this heart so conditioned

When it sees men gone astray

It immediately goes to Thy Throne of Grace

Immediately begins to pray.

In this Christmas season

May we see Thee afresh

And find within our spirits, Lord

To strive for nothing less

Then to see another sinner

Come to Thy Throne of Grace

And sing with saints and angels' songs

When we shall all see Thy Face!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
