All Sin Is An Offense Towards God

All Sin Is An Offense Towards God

All sin is an offense towards God
No matter of its depth or its depravity
For your every action and motive and deed
Is not hid unto Him...He can see!
For unto Him the darkness is as light
All is revealed as it daily transpires
Wise is the soul that comes to have Godly fear
May he be moved by this truth to inquire

That's why God's Word is so precious
Not tainted by the words of men
Who have twisted the scriptures to their own destruction
Unfortunately many have followed after them
But the Spirit of Truth is still living
And it will bring God's Word to the light
That the very foundation and truth of the matter
Is that Jesus Christ is the way...the truth... and the life

Don't let your sin bury you in despair
For bury you it definitely will
But praise God there's a Victor named Jesus Christ
Who walked steadfast to Calvary's Hill
And upon a Cross of open shame
Bleeding and in great agony
He forgave a thief and cried out..."It is finished!"
And went to establish our eternity!!!

We can never forget the Cross
For it lead to a timely grave
For when after three days had finally expired
Praise God we knew...the Lord Jesus Christ saves!!!
I don't care how much sin you're caught up in
Nor the matter of what type or degree
But this one thing I know for I have personally experienced it
If you truly repent you'll be freed!!!

Why wait another moment any longer
For He's only a prayer away
Just call out...God be merciful unto me a sinner
And hallelujah He will be your Stay!!!
Don't let satan continue to bind you in darkness
For you know he's the father of lies
He may try to appear as an angel of light
But he's actually the devil in disguise...

Here we are again nearing Christmas
The celebration of a world wide famed birth
That of the virgin born Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ
The most widely acclaimed name upon earth
And He is fully capable of indwelling you
Immediately...and wherever you are!!!
Just call upon Him for full forgiveness of sin
Remembering He knows just where you are!!!

May You grant it Lord!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
