It's Never To Late To Pray

Its Never To Late To Pray

Its never to late to pray
Keep remindimg yourself of this
Never throw up your hands in despair
To do that would be amiss
For our God is a loving God
Longsuffering to the utmost degree
He wants change in your loved one's and friends
More than you would ever believe

So don't give up yet my brother
Sister keep praying away
For you never may know but that a prodigal
Is thinking about heading home today
Your prayers may be the tide turner
To bring that lost one to Christ
Wouldn't it be such a blessing for sure
That your prayers were the one's to suffice

So back to your closet and kneeling
Let your supplications begin once again
Praying now with a heartful of fervency
In the Lord Jesus Christ's name amen!
Prayer from a heart of rejoicing
For the outcome you now have in view
Praying with the optimism of faith
For what God's going to do for you!

Just show up...God may be surprised
For He hasn't heard from you in awhile
But as you begin to pray in earnest
His face will take on a smile
So good to see you back again
This makes the Lord highly pleased
For there's nothing that tops the list that God has
Then saved sinner's down on their knees!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
