Only One Saviour

Only One Saviour

Only one Saviour to cleanse us from sin
Absolute power and authority in Him
Who raised Himself up from death and the grave
Whomsoever calls upon Him shall be saved
To that I say Hallelujah...Hallelujah amen!
To know Him as such and be " born again"
The greatest "gift giver" the gift of His love
Forgiveness for sin and a Home up above

True jubilation comes from the heart
Of all those redeemed ones given a new start
To God be the glory great things He has done
Who loved us so much that He gave of His Son
Now my heart's passion to see someone saved
To know true deliverance from fear of the grave
And then to have daily a victory over sin
Hallelujah praise Jesus for our Life now in Him

Only one Saviour...only one I say
It is Lord Jesus...the Life...Truth...the Way
No room for confusion God's no Author of such
We have that assurance who the Master has touched
Hallelujah for Jesus the Light of the world
Though darts of darkness at Him were hurled
He withstood everything He paid it all
None other Saviour upon whom then to call

Come to the altar and find your need met
Repent and believe...you'll never regret
To receive grace and mercy abundant and free
Then going forth telling His love towards thee
So great a Salvation is found in this One
Saved by the blood of the Crucified Son
Hallelujah praise God I know I am free
My sins no longer have a captive in me!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
