We Can Never Forget

We Can Never Forget

We can never forget that wonderful name
That came down from Heaven to save
Now lifted up as the name above all other names
For He has conquered over death and the grave
I sing my Hallelujah's
Forever in songs of praise
For sins Forgiver has changed my life
And has taught me to live life a new way

Who would have known that there's a Holy Spirit
Who watches over our lives everyday
But when we start reading the Word of God
We find that He is here always
Invisible...though invincible
His job is to lead us to Christ
To make God's Word come alive in our heart's
Revealing the worth of His great Sacrifice

I pray the Holy Spirit may quicken you
To give your soul some God consciousness
And lead you to seek the Saviour of men
Who has come down to earth to bless
Don't let sin do a number on you
Until the day that your number is up
But seek ye the Lord while He may be found
And drink from Salvation's cup!!!

I sing my Hallelujah's
Forever in songs of praise
For sins Forgiver has changed my life
And has taught me to live life a new way
Before you retire for the evening
Check it out and go find the Book
Pray before reading for Spiritual enlightenment
And look!...I mean really look!

I sing my Hallelujah's
Forever in songs of praise
For sins Forgiver has changed my life
And has taught me to live life a new way!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
