What Powe In The Blood Of Christ
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

What Power In The Blood Of Christ

What power in the blood of Christ
That washes sins away
And gives us a Spirit to live for Him
And keeps the Devil at bay
For greater is He that is within us
Than he that is in the world
God has a timetable to unlease His wrath
When His judgements are unfurled

For men to not believe on Christ
To God is most insulting
To think that the Creator is not displeased
When through Christ a Salvation was resulting
He gave His Son to die for our sin
And to bring forgiveness's grace
To show despite to Christ's finished work
To God...is a slap in the face

What a Salvation at our disposal
To only repent and believe
But men hold on to their own way of thinking
As the Devil has them still deceived
When God decides to release His judgment
And the angel shouts...woe...woe..woe
Men will still curse at their Maker
Proving how they hate Him so

But when they see the Son in all of His glory
There'll be a dramatic change
For they will realize the truth of the story
The reality that Jesus could save
What a terrible way to spend eternity
With the thought forever on your mind
Why didn't I ever give Christ a thought
Doomed to that eternal remind!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
