He's Become My Hallelujah

He's Become My Hallelujah

He's become my Hallelujah!
Hallelujah praise the Lord!
For I'm anchored in my saving faith
Held fast by the Living Word
For though Heaven and earth may pass away
God's Word it abides forever
And every man is to be held accountable
To the Word that still holds this world together!

Don't think lightly of God's Word
Thinking it to be only written by men
For it all was written by holy men
Who particularly by God were chosen
The Holy Spirit superintending
And bringing it all together
Sixty-six books as a package deal
Sealing both Testaments forever!

For Christ was forecast in the old
And lived out His life in the new
As the perfect Sacrificial Lamb of God
Procuring a Salvation for you
His blood was shed in innocence
No taintedness was found there of sin
His death atoned for the sins of all men
That men might be born again!

How could I not say Hallelujah
For such a Saviour as that
Who left the very portals of Heaven
To come down to where I was at!
And who offered me redemption's forgiveness
Praise God by grace through faith
Amazing love...yes it can be!
Because it was the good Lord that saith!

That whomsoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
Praise God that soul shall be saved
For Godly sorrow leads to repentance
And to our rising one day from the grave!
Amen He's my hallelujah!
For hallelujah...He has arisen!
Look ye saints that sight is glorious!
For we now have a Heavenly vision!!!

Arise O church of God!
The harvest fields are ripe
There are souls all around for our undertaking...
Watchmen...what of the night!
Today while it's yet called today
Give thyself heed to God's Word
Remember now we have a new Master
We're servants of the living God!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
