Would Our Heart Attitude

WOULD  OUR HEART ATTITUDE

Would  our  heart  attitude be like Job's

In his trying days

When satan brought him grief and woes

And tried him many ways

When family and friends pointed fingers

As if they knew the cause

Bent with sure determination

That Job had many flaws

But praise God Job had personal favour

With our God in heaven

Who let satan sift and try him

But he was brread unleavened

He had such a relationship

With the Lord we read

Even when his wife suggested

Job he took no heed

Faith cannot be moved by actions

That are sent our way

Even  the very death of loved one's

Does not our faith dismay

For when we have our hope in God

Our faith cannot diminish

As it was "authored by our God"

So to shall be it's finish!

Let your faith find it's resting place

In Jesus Christ the Lord

May it forever be established

In the "written Word"

When the storm's of life assail you

You will not quake  nor quiver

But remain steadfast in your faith

Received from the "true Life-Giver

This relationship like none other

Seals our dedication

Forgiveness for sin and Spirit indwelt

Trumps every situation

We know our God and He knows us

No greater joy than this

All things work together for our good

Find me "greater bliss!"

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
