Through Many Trials And Tribulations Lord

Through many trials and tribulations Lord
You are my hiding place
Where I'm sheltered in Your arms of love
And showered by Your grace
All sufficient are You Lord
My soul is satisfied
For I'm redeemed by the precious blood of Christ my Saviour
And my praises shall never be denied

You have commanded that we should praise You Lord
Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord
But unless we know You in a personal way
The likeliest of it happening seems to be most absurd
For as Satan has tried to dethrone You
He's tainted the heart's of all men as well
And has deceived them into believing that
There's no such a place as the place that's called Hell

I know that God makes no mistakes
And I'm trusting Him to show the way
I'm anchored fast in His Haven of Rest
Awaiting His leading every day
I know I shall meet Him in the air
His Word makes that glad declaration
And the Holy Spirit is my daily Witness bearer
That Christ is the God of my Salvation!

O there's a hallelujah arising in my soul
For I know the God of all Creation
And He's alive and doing well
He is God and God alone what joy and what elation
His eye is on this sparrow
And praise God I have a birds eye view
For my soul is soaring now in the heavenlies
For what great things that our God can do

The King Himself has descended from Heaven
But they've crowned Him with a Crown of thorns
Where He bore all of the pain and all of the agony
Of sins death penalty on our accord
Fairest Lord Jesus Christ I praise You
For I cannot but do nothing less
For I have been bought with a special price
And stand redeemed by Your faithfulness!

He can smash the power of depression...hallelujah!
Lay havoc to the bonds of sin...
And bring deliverance to every lost soul
That will put their faith and trust in Him
Yes praise God it is well with my soul
For I've tasted forgiveness's flavour
There's not much more but to add to that fact
Other then...hallelujah what a Saviour!!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
