There is no Body
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

There Is No Body

There is no body He is not here He has arisen
What a glorious message they knew
That up from the grave and the Victor over death
Had silenced all scoffer's that viewed
The Cross paved the way for Salvation
His shed blood our ransom for sin
And in the light of that glorious gospel
Now all men can be born again

And hallelujah became a blessed theme song
Of the ransomed redeemed and set free
And the Spirit abiding now in the temple
Of the body of you and of me
And the heart transformed by believing
Through faith in that blest written Word
Can testify now with an absolute truth
That Jesus Christ praise God is Lord

He is risen He is risen He is risen indeed
Death has lost all of it's power
Whenever a believing soul breathes his last breath
His next is in glory that hour
What rejoicing when angels do witness
The soul that on Jesus does rest
And glad are the songs of the witnesses in heaven
Proof again God had sent us His best

What day when creation will celebrate
With every saved soul from the past
And hallelujah 's roll from off the tongues
We're free... finally free at last
That thought has a marvellous containment
That forever  is imbedded in me
And my Salvation... So great Salvation
Just how much Lord Jesus loved me!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
