Your Grace was Deployed

"Justa thinking!"...Salvation! Wow!...The greatest gift ever given to men...and it's free! Absolutely free!. Gained only by an admission of sin and a repentant heart to believe...what a great gift giver...our God...and our Saviour Jesus Christ...thank You Lord for dying for me...You are a wonderful Saviour to know and to love...may Your name be eternally praised!

YOUR GRACE WAS DEPLOYED

Your grace was deployed and hit on target
My heart was smitten I saw my need
Your Word was used to quicken my spirit
I repented and fell to my knees
This tongue cried out in swift confession
"I am a sinner...O Lord I pray
Come and live inside this wanderer
And I no more shall go astray"

God immediately sent His Spirit
My spirit bore that evidence
The weight of sin no longer upon me
I was forgiven and "born again!"
Hallelujahs began their singing
The sweet...sweet song of a soul set free
I knew Whom I had just believed in
Was the Man of Calvary

And Light overcame my world of darkness
And I walked in It each day
The transformation was stabilising
Lord Jesus Christ had come to stay
Heaven in this earthen vessel
I knew my Hope was finalized
One day when I would leave this earth
My next breath there...in Paradise

Not a chance that I would ever
Leave that One who loved so much
He has risen...hallelujah
I have personally felt His touch
In His Word is found His presence
For that Word became a man
Believers know beyond a shadow of a doubt
One day out Christ will come again

So with that Spirit now abiding
Peace I have to anchor me
Beyond this whole world's comprehension
Christ alone!...sets captives free
Don't let sin's continuation
Lead you to a day of stress
Give the Master all your burdens
And you too shall find sweet rest!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
