KING OF KINGS

Hail Thee all Incarnate Saviour
Hail Thee precious Son of God
Through Thy birth in lowly manger
Thou hast brought us nigh to God

Chorus  in Heaven praise Thee ever
Loud Amens resound the sky
Though rejected by unnumbered
Yet unnumbered praise on High

Let it sound throughout the mountains
In the valleys still proclaim
Only sinners can receive Him
Jesus died for sinful men

Oh dear sinner from the cradle
Take a glance at Calvary’s Cross
See the blood of our dear Saviour
See His suffering, see His cost

See His pierced side still bleeding
His blood shed for you and me
Won’t you trust Him as your Saviour?
He who died on Calvary’s tree

As this Christmas day is nearing
Think on Christ and this thought share
Whom the world at large rejected
He alone our sins did bare

So I caution you dear reader
Spurn no more the Saviour’s grace
He who died for poor lost sinners
One day will see Thee face to face

Will you meet Him as your Saviour or
Will you meet Him as your Judge?
Come to Him without delay now
For Satan shan’t give you a nudge

Soon Thy coming will be sounded
By the trump of God at last
Then all we who know the Saviour
Will be one with Him at last

Praise Him fellow Christian laborer
Praise Him with Hosanna’s sing
Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ is King of Kings

Eternity awaits the sinner
Heaven or hell your place will be
Will you not be saved by grace
And see that Jesus died for thee

Come to Him who died to save you
Who and forgives cares for you
He will never, never leave you
He will surely see you through

So praise Him fellow Christian laborer
Praise Him with Hosannas sing
Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ is King of Kings.

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
