Sin Can Come On So Many Fronts

Sin Can Come On So Many Fronts

Sin can come on so many fronts
And stab you in the back
It can come from any corner
For method it has no lack
So circumspectly I must live
And claim the victory
Praise God for my Saviour Jesus Christ
Who died on Calvary

Up from the grave He arose Hallelujah
O how I love that thought
It puts a spring into my step
Praise God I've been blood bought
O how precious is that fountain
That washes white as snow
Every repentant heart has testimony
That that truth is so!

Sure desire of every nation
For Jesus died for all
Earth's Creator become our Saviour
Take heed to the gospel call
Lifted up that we might live
Lifted up that we might die
With the glorious hope of a Resurrection
Where we'll meet Him in the sky

O soul rejoice in that offer
It's the Son that can set men free
From the domination of sin
And its damnation's history
O how I love to proclaim it
Praise God Lord Jesus saves
Grab hold of this truth and claim it
Before you meet your final days

O to live in Resurrection power
With the same Spirit living within
That raised Lord Jesus up from the grave
And gives us victory over sin
This surely is life abundant
Born again by the grace of God
New birth as my present possession
O praise ye praise ye the Lord!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
