GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(The Lord says) 10 "Feed the hungry,
and help those in trouble.
Then your light will shine out from the darkness,
and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.
11 The Lord will guide you continually,
giving you water when you are dry
and restoring your strength.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like an ever-flowing spring."
- Isaiah 58:10-11(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Peter said) 16 "Then I thought of the Lord’s words when he said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’" - Acts 11:16(New Living Translation).

NOTES
Today has been mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid sixties. I missed attending Sunday School and church this morning. I had a flat tire on my van. I had to buy a new tire this afternoon. Treva left for home about 1:30 p.m. She helped me a lot while she was here by helping to get my kitchen in order. She called this evening to say she had made it home safely with her cargo of a cat and a dog. The cat and dog slept together in the back seat of her car most of the time as they traveled home this afternoon. I attended church tonight.
The cats are fine, still going in and out in the mild weather. Little Girl is asleep on the back of the couch here in the den. She went outside earlier for a little while.
At 9:30 p.m. skies are cloudy with a temperature of 55 degrees. I will see you next time.

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. - 2 Timothy 1:9(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
34 Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. 35 In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right." - Acts 10:34-35(New Living Translation).

NOTES
Today has been mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid sixties. My daughter, Treva, is visiting with me from Topeka, Kansas. We had lunch at Taco Bob's and had supper at Wendy's. Tomorrow we will have our noon meal at home. Treva has done some unpacking for me today, putting dishes, pots and pans in place in the kitchen and I certainly appreciate it. She did find time to go to Komar's to do some shopping. She brought her cat, Gaia, and her dog, Libby, with her. My cats have been staying outside a lot as they have not become that well aquainted with Gaia as yet. Gaia stays inside all the time.
The cats are doing fine. Since the weather is getting warmer I have been sitting with them some in the back yard. They always like for me to come sit with them.
At 8:50 p.m. skies are cloudy with a temperature of 60 degrees. Have a Good Lord's Day tomorrow! I will see you next time.

March 5, 2010Do we really need another huge bureaucracy in D.C.? The Postal Service (which is semi-private under the direction of Congress), NASA, (totally gov't), AMTRAK, gov't owned and always in debt, Social Security, Medicare and Medicade, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac; all of these are either being downgraded or deeply in debt, all under government control. Now what do people really think,( that is, you the voter), will happen with health care if it is run by the government? To suggest that government will lower costs and keep them under control is simply wishful thinking at its worst!
Health care needs reforming, but not the kind that the Obama Administration and Congress are now planning.
Tort reform, opening insurance across state lines, fighting fraud and abuse (which is very prevalent I am sure), putting all those who cannot afford (meaning they cannot feed and shelter their families and have health insurance) on a gov't subsidy, health savings accounts (tax exemption), and preventative medicine will all go toward lowering costs. There are other ways also I am sure. But government control and take over will NOT lower costs but exacerbate the problem. You can be sure of that! By Everett Christian, WC Poet

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
1 Keep me safe, O God,
for I have come to you for refuge.
2 I said to the Lord, “You are my Master!
Every good thing I have comes from you.”
- Psalm 16:1-2(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Peter said) 19 "Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. 20 Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah. 21 For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long ago through his holy prophets." - Acts 3:19-21(New Living Translation).

NOTES
Today has been a sunny day with high temperatures near 60 degrees. I had lunch by myself as there was a funeral at the church where Charles attends and he helped with the feeding of a meal to the bereaved family. I made three stops today, namely, Country Mart, the post office and Walmart. Today is an anniversary of sorts. One year ago today I moved to Moore, Oklahoma, which I thought was a good move at the time. I now think that Moore was not where God wanted me to be and I think He kept my house from selling so I could move back to it. The move was good in one way. If I hadn't moved I would have always wondered if I should have. Anyway, I am happy to be back in my home in McAlester and my cats seem to be happier here than in Moore. It still gets real lonesome around here but I can feel Flonnie closer to me here than I could in Moore. I am just waiting until I can join her and in the meantime I will take care of these smart kitties of ours.
Don't worry if I miss the Good Things tomorrow as my daughter, Treva, will be visiting me.
The cats are fine. Little Girl is on the back of the couch here in the den. I think all the rest of them are outside as they like to play outside on these warm evenings.
At 9:25 p.m. skies are fair here in McAlester with a temperature of 52 degrees. I will see you next time.

NOTES
Today has been a sunny day with high temperatures in the high fifties. I had lunch with Charles and then went to the post office, Country Mart and Walmart. The rest of the time has been spent at home with my cats. It is now 6:20 p.m. and I will leave for Wednesday night church service in a few minutes. I feel better physically today.
The cats are fine. Little Girl is on the back of the couch here in the den. The rest are probably outside.
The temperature at this time is 50 degrees under fair skies. I will see you next time.
