His Story Is Bigger

His story is bigger than our story
It's worth the reading wouldn't you think
I mean the Creator of the world Himself 
Life captured on paper in ink
The author and faith's finisher
Hallelujah for the Lamb
The Word become flesh to dwell amongst us
Thou worthy...all worthy...I Am!

You walked amongst Your own Creation
With the personification of humbleness
Loving...forgiving...in servanthood
Your sole main reason to bless
Yet many turned their backs away
At the utterance of Your words
For when You said You could forgive sins
To them that was most absurd

They couldn't believe that very God
Was the God that who You were
Even though in front of their eyes
Miracles did occur
When you raised Lazarus from the dead
Many believed and trusted in You
They saw a Resurrection back to life 
The power of God shone through

Lord in the power of Your Word
Are the thoughts and intents of the heart
Proving we're sinners beyond all doubt
O Lord how great Thou art
With the desire to change our lives
By bringing conviction of our sin
Then turning our hearts towards the Lord Jesus Christ
That we may invite Him in!

The Word is a light to our feet
And a lamp to our path always
As we walk in this world of darkness
Lord You will show us the way
Praise God that Your Word is our Helper
Our comfort in times of duress
The Book You have written...simply amazing!
For You've authored the Best of the best!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
