You May Not Believe This

You May Not Believe This

You may not believe this friend
But what I tell you is true
God is on a mission
And His mission field is you
You are the affection of His heart
No greater love than His
To give His Son to die on  Cross
That we might truly live

Hallelujah what a Saviour
Who left His home on High
To be born of a virgin in Bethlehem
And then to be Crucified
He spread out love so wondrously well
Many could attest to that
His forgiveness power knows no equal
He can deliver a soul like that!!!

Death was a despairing foe
For it left men in the grave
But when Jesus became our Resurrection and Life
Hallelujah Jesus saves!
None can usurp His authority
For all the world was made through Him
The only name given under heaven and earth
The only One who never had sinned!

Holiness clothed in humaness
Behold God as the Lamb
The only sacrifice deemed sufficient
For He was truly the great I am
My God how great Thou art!
As the Father...the Spirit...the Son
Only saving faith reveals to the heart
That Thou art the great three in One...

His Salvation...so savory!
Taste and see that the Lord is good...
Offering us an eternal Savation
Great fellowship with the brotherhood
To know now of a present possesion
Hallelujah for eternal life
Death's power truly diminished
Praise God Christ gives us Light!

My faith has found its resting place
I trust you will find Him too
As the God of the seemingly impossible
There's nothing my God cannot do
Got a sin problem to heavy to handle
His grace is sufficient my friend
May Godly repentance bring you to saving faith
In Jesus Christ's name...amen!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
