No Greater Gift

No Greater Gift

No greater gift has ever been given
Then the gifting of God's Son
Taking all of our sin upon Himself
As the penalty for everyone
God poured His wrath upon Him
But has left us a Lighthouse sure
For in the midst of the storms in your life
The Lord Jesus is ever near

He lives...hallelujah He lives!
There's life in the Crucified One
Yes and although the Cross held Him fast there
The grave!...It could not hold Him!
He lives!...He lives!....Hallelujah!
Find your new tomorrow today
Put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
And let Jesus Christ be your Stay!

Praise God we can individualize
Our relationship with the Lord
When we come to Him with repentant heart's
Our name's are written in God's records
What a faithful Heavenly Father
I know He's been faithful to me
His love encompasses me everyday
Praise God for Calvary!

There's no other life to be living
Then in fellowship with the One
Who can forgive you of all of your sins
And give you a new horizon...
O praise God...the King is coming!
Praise Him and give God the glory!
Our life on earth is just the beginning
It's not the end of our story!

So how is it today with you my friend
Still haven't found out about our God?
You'll find Him in the Book of Life
The Bible is God's Holy Word
Make prayer... a companion today
Come to God's Throne of Grace
Ask Him to reveal Himself to you
Read away at a leisurely pace

Keep at it and you will find Him
For He's where He's been all along
The living and written Word of God
Who giveth our heart's a song!
The New Testament is a great starting place
Particularly the Gospel of John
You will marvel at the love of Jesus in ministering
Individually and among the throngs

Taste and see that the Lord is good
Enjoy a Heavenly atmosphere
Where sins are forgiven instantaneously
And healings are found as well there
What in the world are you waiting for!
May the Holy Spirit reveal your need
There's a great Salvation awaiting my friend
May you trust in Christ indeed!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
