I'm In...Hallelujah I'm In![9

I'm In...Hallelujah I'm In!

I'm in...hallelujah I'm in!
I remember the thought at that hour
When I went down on my knees confessing my sin
And was raised in Resurrection power!
Heaven became immediately mine
Not by any of my own righteousness
But hallelujah!...Glory!...Praise the Lord!
Just a sinner saved by God's grace!

My Salvation was a free gift!
Bestowed on me by God's own dear Son
Faith took hold of the strings of my heart
And set my soul on rejoicing
It was finished!...finished for sure!
His death on the Cross for my sin
And God was satisfied with that offering
In that He raised  Christ to life again

And the Holy Spirit became my evidence
Of my faith's new found transaction
And sealed it to my heart one hundred percent
That God was satisfied with my action
And forgiveness brought such a cleansing
Amen for the power in the blood
That substantiates our belief in God's Word
And proving the essence of His love

To be transformed from the realm of darkness
Unto... God's glorious light
Praise God I'm redeemed...hallelujah redeemed!
Christ is now my soul's chief delight...
There's a new eagerness now living within me
Towards the One who redeemed me from disgrace
Now I know...hallelujah I
know
I shall see Him one day face to face!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
