There's Power In His Resurrection

There's Power In His Resurrection

There's power in His Resurrection
Hallelujah for the Lamb
Who became the Firstborn from the dead
Jesus the Great I Am
Death could not detain Him
For three days it tried its best
But hallelujah the Lord Jesus Christ arose
And now the world was blessed!

There's power in His blood
For it washes away sins stains
And every repentant heart shall find
That they're never the same again
And.that He shed it most willingly
Because of His great love
Hallelujah to our precious Lord
And hallelujah to our God

There's power in His Word
For it brings conviction of our sin
Stirs our hearts to feel the pangs
Of the damage it does within
Then hallelujah it brings us hope
Through the offering of the Son
That whomsoever trusts in the Lord
Will become a new creation

There's power in your will
For you use it everyday
To make the choices that you choose
To live your life your way
What are your thoughts of God
Have you given Him some time
What are your plans for eternity
Just asking if you don't mind

For we all have an appointment with death
It's the penalty for our sin
But praise God the Lord has paid it for us
When He died on the Cross...amen!
And the wonderful gift of Salvation
Is ours just for the taking
And praise God it is as close at hand
When repentance is our undertaking

There's power in the Cross
For Christ was lifted up
That whomsoever believes on Him
Drinks from Salvation's cup
And the joy of a hope eternal
Where we'll spend eternity
Lord thank You for the blessings of
Giving me the power to praise Thee...

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
