Lord Make A Round

Lord Make A Round

Lord make a round of visitation
Draw some soul to Thee
To know the joy of so great Salvation
And what it means to be free
Forgiven from the sins of past
Knowing peace beyond compare
And by Your Spirit having a Witness
That You are always near

Then enjoying a fellowship sweet
To know You as heavenly Father
And prayer becoming natural now
Of which before I never bothered
And a burden placed on my heart
To see another soul saved
And a love for the Word of God
Telling of victory over the grave

I praise you Lord for the visitation
That you brought to me one day
And proved yourself strong on my behalf
And led me to further pray
A divine visitation I call it now
For I know it was Providence
That took me from a wayward path
And gave me a second chance

This is one very thankful soul
For I know from whence I came
Lost and on a damnable course
But for your precious name
Coming from darkness to the Light
And laden down with sin
I repented then and there
And I was born again

I know the blessed touch of God
I've felt His awesome power
I know His love is active still
This may be your Salvation hour
Be alert to your soul's need
There's a Saviour Who has come
To offer you a so great Salvation
Will you not welcome Him

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
