Tribute To Louis Gander

Louis Gander

Louis left this world for now
He's gone to a better place
Where we'll be reunited praise the Lord
Because we've been saved by grace
And O what a joy that it will be
When we meet and greet each other
In that bond and love of fellowship
Extended to one another

All the blessings that we'll share
Although we've never met
The Lord will coordinate our times
Of the sharing to be held yet
Time will not be a hinderance
For there time has no limits
We'll have eternity to express ourselves
We'll love the kingdom and all those in it

Louis had his faith...
He revealed it in his writings
He definitely knew where he was going
He had the Lord in his sightings
And faith has soaring power
For We live in the Heavenlies
Praise God this world is not our home
But we'll follow where the Shepherd leads...

Grief may hold us for awhile
But it's meant for our instruction
For praise God we have a blessed hope
And it's Christ our Resurrection
O death where is thy sting?
O grave thy victory?
For we shall rise as He has arisen...
Hallelujah for Calvary!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

That is a very nice and fitting remembrance of Louis. I echo its wishes. May God comfort his family. Although we never met in person, we will know each other in Heaven.

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
