My Heart Translation

Just a thinking! We so often hear of languages being translated so people can understand words in their own particular culture...a great example is the Wycliffe Bible translation teams...a group of people called by God and blessed by God to go to countries around the world so people can hear and read the bible in their own languages and come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ...thus fulfilling the Lord's command.."Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel!" What a mission field! God bless them in their endeavourment...I was thinking the other day of that day when once again everyone will understand everybody's language as in the book of acts...what a glorious day that will be!...You know the Bible also talks about the translation of the heart..of it being translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light...have you ever had a heart translation yet? In the bible sin is referred to walking in darkness...in fact it says that men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil...and they don't come to the light lest they be reproved...how is your heart condition today? Are you walking in the light and having fellowship with God...or is darkness still your companion....I pray you will consider the eternal consequences....Praise God Christ is the light of the world and offers redemption to those who repent and believe!

My Heart Translation

My heart translation was an eye opener to me
Once bound by the shackles of sin... now true liberty
Praise God I repented when I finally heard the Word
And Jesus Christ by the Spirit my Salvation assured
What a glorious transaction my translation that day
From the kingdom of darkness into the Light of day
Now my sojournying in fellowship with Him
Who has all the power in the world to translate a heart from sin!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
