JESUS

He walked on water
Stilled the sea
The lame would walk
The blind would see
The deaf would hear
The dead would too
Come forth Lazarus and Lazarus came too
Forgiver of our sins
Like the woman at the well
Suddenly appear in a room
As doubting Thomas could tell
Feed five thousand
With five loaves and two fishes
Saved Saul on the road to Damascus
And Paul became a witness

Jesus the way, the truth, the life the water, the bread, the door, the Good Shepherd and the Resurrection. ...need I say anything more
'He's all that you could ever want
He cares for us ...it's true ...who wouldn't want to know that Saviour and have Him live in you!

The Holy Spirit orchestrates each spiritual transaction
And when a person trusts in Christ
What glorious satisfaction
For all sufficient is that blood
That was shed for our sin
And now's the time to take it's power
And put your faith in Him
For when old age has called your number
And you start to fail and decline
Death cannot bar your journey yonder
For Christ is yours and mine

That great physician who can physically heal and make the body whole
But far above and beyond any other
He's the Healer of the soul
For where old sin lurks and waits
Prepared to do us in
Christ has destroyed its potency
Praise God by conquering sin
For up from the grave He arose
He arose! He arose, I say!
Though satan has a space in time
God has the final day
And in reunion with loved ones
and with God who never leaves us
We kneel before His presence there and praise that name of Jesus

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
