"Justa thinking!"....of times when our children were young and we would be out somewhere visiting...when an opportunity would arise they would ask my wife or myself if we could go home...that was very touching then and still is now as I think about.it...when the atmosphere of home is filled with joy and love...where else would you rather be...Home has such a nice sound to it. .one hymn writer has stated it in this fashion ...I wandered far away from God..now I'm coming home...the paths of sin too long I've trod...Lord I'm coming home...how is it with your life friend...is your heart prepared to meet your heavenly Father? ...it can be you know...God's love knows no boundaries and can meet you wherever you are...sin brings a separation from God and an isolated and lonely existence...such a separation can bring an eternal destiny of damnation...separated from God forever...seek ye the Lord while He may be found...find hope and true joy and peace in the One who died too offer us forgiveness and cleansing...hallelujah...what a Saviour!

HOME

I love the sound of home
T'is music to my ears
Soothing is that atmosphere
Calming all my fears
Safe in the arms of Jesus
I find eternal rest
And blessed am I
Daily I am
In His great faithfulness

There is no other surrounding
That I treasure as such
Nestled in the love and care
Of Him who loves me much
My spiritual health is perfect
I think I'm running a 10
The Spirit as my Advocate
For that I say...Amen!

Joy has no separation
It's anchored to my soul
For since I...have been Redeemed
I feel completely whole
And so I give my praises
As often as I can
Unto the Rock of Ages
Jesus the Great I Am

Getting back to the subject
I think that I'm not alone
That we'll known adage says it well
"There is no place like home
And home where a loving Father lives
Is yours for free no less
Come...repent...be free from sin
And find your Haven of Rest!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
