God Honors Faith

GOD HONORS FAITH

God honors faith that's fixed on Him

And sets our sights a soaring

He gives us grace for daily living

So not ----one day is boring

Prayer is our friend to keep that bond

With, our God Almighty

And that my friend I treasure so

I never treat it lightly

And oh what blessings He bestows

To the soul that waits on Him

To the soul who's ever thankful for

The forgiveness of his sin

The brightest spot that shines for God

In this world below

Are the one's who walk in the light of His Word

How Jesus loves us so

So tender are His mercy's

His loving kindness too

Great, is our God's faithfulness

For His long- suffering unto you

Not willing that any should perish

But that all would come to Christ

See the compassion of that Father

Who paid the ransom price

No! ........No!........ No!

God helping me I'll refrain

From the unfruitful works of darkness

That blaspheme Jesus’ name

Not one spot or wrinkle

Was on His garments found

Unrighteousness has no fellowship with

That One who bore the crown

His blood was shed for sinner's

But blood not tainted such

Nor with the body of human birth

But was virgin born for us

That scoffer, scorner, screamer

That yelled "Crucify Him"

Will gaze in awesome wonder when

Our Christ returns again

And oh that Spirit groaneth

As He awaits the coming day

When God the Father and God the Son

Experience Coronation's Day

When every knee shall bow

And every tongue confess

To the glory of the Father

Who became sin for us no less

Sin has to flee away

Darkness cannot abide

The Light of the world Lord Jesus

Has surely stemmed the tide

Creation takes a breather

And no longer has to exist

It will be made anew in splendor

By that Son of Righteousness

Where everlasting is present

And Eternal life begins

Show me One greater than Whom I know

Who delivers men from sin

Ha...... I have found Him

He knows me through and through

And oh my friend do not neglect

To find this Savior too!

Find with God such favor

Repent and turn from sin

Put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ

Come..........be born again!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
