In The Outpouring

In The Outpouring

In the outpouring of God's wrath
Upon His only begotten Son
I found my refuge in Jesus Christ
Praise God for that blessed Crucified One
Who took my sins and nailed them fast
Removing all of their guilt and shame
And giving me the hope of eternal life
Hallelujah for His blessed name!

I have a new identification now
I am in Christ and He's in me
His Spirit quickened my guilty heart
When by faith in the Word I was set free
Now my soul is really soaring
It has taken me to the realms of Heaven
Knowing Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour
Now that praise God is really living!

He knows my name...hallelujah praise God
I know I'm kept in the Father's hand
Saved by grace through faith am I
His work sufficied...no works of mine
All my righteousness was filthy rags
No representation there for God to bless
But Jesus undertook by His own precious blood
To give to my soul God's righteousness...

No better reason for living now
Than awaiting the presence of Christ's return
Seeking to share that blessed message
That all who believe shall never burn
The fires of Hell shall never touch us
God has given His divine separation
For all who believe are guaranteed Heaven
Praise God hallelujah for His so great Salvation!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
