Lord Your Resurrection
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

LORD, YOUR RESURRECTION

Lord your Resurrection is full of living power

Still transforming repentant heart's unto

this very hour

For you arose in wonderment...my God how great you are

The  perfect sacrificial Lamb and bright

and morning star

You quicken hearts by your Spirit and

seal them  forever

Not one believer will miss out  being

with the true "life giver".

And praising hearts now sanctified

sing from their sou's set free

That wondrous blessed gospel story

"Jesus died for me!"

O the sorrowful cries of woe to those

In unbelief

Who do not to the Saviour come and

find their sure relief

The many chances that they had but

dismissed them with nonchalance

Now have come full circle ...to haunt

them in remembrance

Today if you will hear, that still small

voice of grace

Leave off... whatever at hand and seek

the Master's face

For waiting there in mercy and forgiveness in full measure

Is that blessed Son of God to give

you heaven's treasure

I cannot tell it any better "Jesus died for me"

And lives forever in my heart

praise God for Calvary

Easter comes...I thank you Father

From a sinner saved by grace

For what would I have done without You

For You took this sinner's place!

Nightfall comes God rests my soul

No fear of death within

I am sustained by saving grace

My Lord and Resurrection

If I do not awake on earth ...you'll hear

the rest of the story

I'll tell it in full measure then..

when I awake in glory!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
