He Took All
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

He Took All

He took all of my accumulated sin
And settled in full my account
His blood the sufficient sacrifice
That flowed from Calvary's  fount
His grace was poured out abundantly
Upon my hour of belief
And my repentant heart found mercy
What a sure and a lasting relief

Jesus saves...hallelujah He saves
The profoundest of exclamation
I've met the lover of my soul
The God of my Salvation
He who delighted to ransom me
Has given this heart a new song
Energized now by His Holy Spirit
I praise Him all the day long

Now my heart is longing for
Others to come know that One
Who died...the Just for the unjust
What a loving Saviour...God's Son
Seek Him and you shall find Him
For He's only a prayer away
Make Him the Light of your world my friend
And your night will be turned into day

That void that you're trying to fill each day
It's a costly and weighty transaction
Your change has to be done from within my friend
Before you'll find any true satisfaction
God is aware of your unawareness
He is trying to reach you each day
Check out the Bible His Word has the answer
Repentance and faith is the way

You've tried all of the other things
And have found that that well is dry
Why haven't you yet called upon the Lord
Can you give that an honest reply?
Today while it is yet called today
Give God a moment of your time
For remember friend there's a life that's eternal
Where are you going and when will you make up your mind?

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
