He's The God Of Possibility

He's The God Of Possibility

He's the God of possibility
Praise God He changeth not
And always on the lookout for
Those who are weak and distraught
And in the power of the Resurrection
Who proved to death its loss
Stands... praise God in all of His glory
Hallelujah for the Cross!

Now every day I give consideration
To Him who has died for me
And wrapped up grace in His full personhood
Hallelujah for Calvary!
Now hope is shining in full bloom
I'm mega satisfied!
For for the deepest need of my heart
My Lord has surely supplied!

O what gift of eternal life
Come packaged as the Word
And put on flesh to identify with man
And came as Christ the Lord
Praise God His name still holds entitlement
As the greatest name ever found upon earth
For in the provision of His sacrificial offering
Man has been offered a second birth...

Ye must be born again says Jesus
If you want heaven as your home
For your sin nature is bent on destruction
As away from God you roam
There's a magnetism in that Saviour
Look to the Lamb and live
For He alone has the power to save you
And He alone has the power to forgive!

In celebration of our Lord's  arising
My heart continually gives Him praise
Who other has ever risen from the dead
Any other name out there?...no way!!!
No!...He alone has the market cornered
For there's no other with whom to compare
Come heavy hearted and wounded soul today
And hallelujah You'll find Him near!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
