In The Limits Of Time And Space

In the limits of time and space
God became a man
And entered our world in humbleness
Being birthed by a virgin
And knowing the detriment of sin
How that our conscience would be seared
Came to give us a way of forgiveness
And power over death that we feared

God with us Immanuel
As our Saviour Christ the Lord
God incarnate in the flesh
The living and written Word
An all existent entity
Who knew the beginning and the end
Absolutely unique in His lifestyle
Living a life without sin

In Him was life
Filled with truth and grace
Declaring the purpose of God Himself
In the saving of the human race
Jesus Christ is God...hallelujah!
When you see the Son you've seen the Father
Let that truth grip your heart
And it will change your life forever

He paid the price! He redeemed and bought me...
And O at what a price!
He ...Christ...as our sacrificial Lamb
Became God's supreme Sacrifice
For your sin and for my sin
He carried the weight of them all
And still lives with forgiving love
If on Him today you would call

He can touch you and make you and shape you
To the which you were made to become
The only requirement is the repentance from sin
And a saving faith in the Crucified One
Yes Heaven came down to earth
To bring you to Heaven my friend
Put your faith today in the fairest Lord Jesus
And you'll have a forever Friend!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
