The Complexity of the Human Body

THE COMPLEXITY OF THE HUMAN BODY

The complexity of the human body
Yet "God spoke" and it was done
Formed out of the dust of the earth
By that Creative One

Molecules and atoms
To the umpteenth degree
Miles and miles of sinew
Inside of you and me

Then the heart of the matter
To pump His precious blood
That He deemed necessary
To continue our life from God

Life is in the blood
It's found within God's Word
When the body loses it
There's "no life"!.....be assured

The blood is very special
In the roll that it plays
It is the very means whereby
We have our length of days

That blood becomes so precious
When "founded" in the Son
Who alone had untainted blood
For in Him...no sin...not one!

Our "sacrificial Lamb"
The Lamb for sinner's slain
Who shed His own precious blood
Our "redemption" to obtain

Our sin it drew Him there
To Calvary's rugged cross
Where God smote "Him" for our sin
So we wouldn't suffer loss

That sacrifice accepted
God was satisfied
In that He raised Him from the dead
To reign with Him on High

I've applied that precious blood
I know I've been redeemed
When I repented of my sin
His Spirit made me "clean"

Now living inside of me
Is that "cleansing fountain's" blood
Born again because of Christ
Enjoying my Father's love

This body He has given me
With it I gladly proclaim
Come to that fountain...flowing free
Come trust in Lord Jesus name!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
