Is Meekness Weakness?

Is Meekness  Weakness????

Jesus was meek and lowly, but not weak.
He loved, healed, yet drove money changers out,
Changed water to wine without the squad of Geek.
He was wise – Jewish Law He did not flout.

I surely have nothing to offer God.
I mourn over my sin and turn to Him.
I long for what I don’t have on this sod.
Roots of a godly life – not just a whim.

Like on monkey bars, I need momentum.
Lord, help me pursue Your purpose for me.
Help me not to add my own addendum.
I give the tyranny of self to Thee.

By nature, I’m like an unbroken horse,
Bucking and kicking, resisting God’s hand.
In meekness I can enjoy peace, of course,
And courage to live as my Lord has planned.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness
And all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
