Trust Me

Do I pray and then doubt God,
Toss and turn within my “bod”?
Do I fret that I can’t go to sleep
Because I’m angry for doing this?

We all worry at some time.
Seems there’s no reason or rhyme -
Just can’t commit it to God alone.
We “kick ourselves” ‘cause we know better.

Near future seems uncertain -
Some things “hid” behind curtains.
God, help us to rest in Your power
When fear and worries threaten our world.

I have a sign in my kitchen that says, “The battle is God’s, not yours.”

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
