Need Him

Need Him

Do we need God

Or just Visa and Mastercard,

Things to make happy, then discard?

Do we need God

Or just clothes and lots of money –

Got plastic – feeling rich, honey?

Do we need God

Or just this constant consumption,

Letting the world cause our function?

Yes!  We need God!

“You cannot serve God and riches,”

So think before you “scratch those itches.”

Yes!  We need God!

In these hard times when we’re poor.

With faith and hope we must endure

Until He comes!

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
