What Will I Be Like?

What Will I Be Like?

This world’s the worst I’ll ever see –

Here troubles come to you and me.

Crushing things can come to all

In this life because of The Fall.

White robes there will mean I am clean.

Palm branches are signs of joy seen.

We’ve washed robes in blood of The Lamb –

Now clean before the great I AM.

God spreads His shelter over me.

I’ll ne’er tire of worship, you see.

He’ll wipe the tears out of my eyes –

Together with saints  - all true ties.

There’ll be no tears in that worship.

T’will come from heart and mind and lip.

Joys will increase forevermore –

Healed of all ills on that fair shore.

Willing to stay for serving Him –

Longing for Home – joys past the brim!

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
