Like Grass

God has made everything beautiful in its time.
My life is a miracle of His grace.
I am made in His image WITH rhythm and rhyme.
Sin may tempt me to try to take HIS place.

Here by the plan, the purpose of the Almighty,
But sin blinds to His glory, His power.
If I try to control life ever so slightly,
It goes so wrong,  I just want to cower.

Human life is beautiful yet it’s so fragile.
NO breath means that I will return to dust.
Years of life gone so quickly - only here a while.
No random chance, so it’s in God I trust.

Psalm 103:15-16  Amplified Bible (AMP)

“As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field,
so he flourishes.  For the wind passes over it and it is gone, and its place shall know it no more.”

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
