A Man Called Ted

There’s a man I know who’s quite tall.
He’s always kind with loving attitude.
He likes jokes and to laugh and have a ball -
Never seems thoughtless and/or rude.

He’s guided, helped many people
As pastor and teacher and loving friend.
He needn’t be near the church with it’s steeple.
He’s Yours - that’s quite true in the end.

Now can’t leave lady Darlene out
‘Cause she’s the other half of the duo.
And that’s what this marriage is all about.
With Christ - unbreakable trio!

I didn’t get to know this man
‘Til after he married a friend of mine.
I ask you, Lord, to bless him all You can.
Always keep him close ‘cause he’s Thine.

With Thanks and love,
Geneva

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
