The Right Target

In your pursuits in life what is your goal –

Earn all you can – fly from the highest pole?

Is it to be the brightest in your class –

Learn all you can, be greatest in a flash?

What’s the most important in your life’s plan?

Is it to be best in the age of man?

Is your heart of hearts full of me, me, me?

Is it just chock full of this life’s debris?

While others may see just the outward part,

Remember God looks inward at your heart.

‘Though man may look at the outward person,

Keep your eye on the goal of God’s “well done.”
