 Shelf Life

Foods have shelf life we know.

Of that I am certain.

The passage of time shows

It’s spoiled…draw the curtain!

THINGS can be obsolete.

They’re just behind the times.

Scripture and those we meet

Show us reason and rhyme.

A thought, because it’s old,

Can still remain unphased.

The Word’s statutes so bold

Can still leave us amazed.

Folks say it’s not modern…

Old thoughts we should retire.

But Scripture’s our pattern.

Wisdom does not expire!

Titus 2:11-13 (New Living Translation)

11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.
