Let Us Live Cream

Let Us Live Cream

Folks talk cream but just live skim milk...

So said a famous preacher.

For some the words just flow like silk,

The tongue, their foremost feature.

Lips may utter spiritual words,

May sound like top grade cream,

Put forth music like singing birds,

Just as easy as a dream.

Let us not speak "with forked tongue,"

But ask our God to cleanse

Our own secret faults which have sprung

From our life's distorted lens.

Lord, harmonize our walk and talk.

Work deep within our hearts.

Grow us strong and don't let us balk

When the devil throws his darts.

"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer."

Psalm 19:14
