Facing Tomorrow

As I face the New Year 2009

My heart cries out for renewal,

For strength and courage down the line.

Lord, restore, refresh, repair, refuel.

Like the psalmist I bring this plea to You

Even as life has worn me down.

My good intentions, I just blew.

Help me, Lord, to meet the day with no frown.

By faith my whole life is secure in You,

And I know Who holds the future.

Right now, I’ve troubles, quite a few

And I need Your Grace, my life to nurture.

My Lord, You’ve never failed me in the past

And I know You won’t fail me now.

Please give me courage that will last

As I wait on You – in my heart, I bow.

                                                    Psalm 46:1

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
