Allow Him to Use You

I heard a statement last weekend -
“You’re not done until you’re done!”
The years of life after work -
Should they be spent just having fun?

I see a man across the way,
Just there on his balcony,
Looks so lonely day to day,
Sitting beside that maple tree.

God has a purpose for each life.
Now stop and think about it.
Is there gratitude to God?
Go rest a while but don’t just quit!

Retire to do things - don’t just quit!
Stay connected to purpose.
Live a life of victory .
At any age He can use us!

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
