Thoughts of the Future

A crisis is not what makes me,
But it does reveal who I am.
The world is filled with suffering
And some people turn to The Lamb.

Others run to use more plastic
Thinking that things will make them glad.
Payment time comes around too soon.
Then insufficient funds make sad.

Being taken over by fear?
Living faster – no time to think?
Stop and put your trust in the Lord.
New Birth ‘til death, He’ll be your Link.

We live in such perilous times
That it’s hard not to be fearful.
Our fear can be used by Satan.
Christ’s own children must be careful!

The farther I progress in life,
The more I depend on my Lord.
I’m not self-sufficient at all.
I need His presence and His Word.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
