Time's A-Wasting

Seems just yesterday we were young and strong.

There was plenty of time for the future.

With love and family, what could go wrong?

There’d be no need for patches or sutures.

Then life just flew by – GRANDchildren are grown!

Recognizing the face in the mirror

Gets harder and harder – our youth has flown!

Ailments make old age loom that much nearer.

Thank God, there’s a strength that is forever.

And He’s promised us a new way for that.

As we read His Word and seek His favor

We’ll flourish as at His feet we have sat.

We count on Him to give His loved ones rest

As we commit all to Him – He’s awake!

In the midst of life’s winter, He’s the best.

His help is neither too early or late.

Psalm 92: 12 – 14

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
