Did God Say, 'Wait'?
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Did God Say, “Wait”?

Promises of a birthday toy
Make a child say, “I can’t wait!”
Teen girls wait for that special boy,
Nerves make her late for the date.

Youngsters must wait for driver’s ed.,
Testing, though they “know it all”.
Tickets may loom because they sped
While hurrying to the mall.

Couple waits for their first baby,
Much in love…see how they glow?
Healthy boy or girl, well maybe;
But nine months just seems too slow.

Years pass quickly… the time just flies,
You realize when you’re old.
We’d like to open youngsters’ eyes,
Help them believe what we’ve told.

God may require time for waiting.
He gives, right when we need it.
He’s teaching us faith and trusting.
We say, “NOW, go on, speed it!”

Don’t fill in gaps with your own plans.
Trust the Lord to meet each need.
His Holy Word and Will still stands.
The hungry Lambs,  He will feed.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3: 5 & 6
