Winter - Christmas

(Winter - Christmas)

WINTER

Sleighs dashing through the snow
Fireplaces all alglow
Decorated storefronts
Lots’a games where kids bunch.

Let it snow - let it snow
Soon there’s a frightful blow
Silver bells now jingle
Where people now mingle.

Chestnuts roasting nearby
Dream of white Christmas - (sly)
Silver Bells is catchy
But outside is drafty!

 CHRISTMAS

Away in a manger
Cow’s feed-trough for a bed
Upon a midnight clear
Shepherds called - drawing near.

Oh, holy night divine
One sent from David’s line
Away in a manger
Lay that holy stranger.

Have we OVERMIXED the festivity of Winter play with the remembrance of
His holy birth and why He came?
