End of the World
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

End of the World

One person says it’ll be May twenty-ten,

Another in the year of twenty-twelve,

That our Father ends the world for all men.

As to the date, the Bible does not delve.

Would that frightened men would heed the warning

Implied, intended or not, in the flick,

So they’d be sure of Heaven “that morning.”

They’d stand firm when He “calls them up” so quick.

Of the day or hour even Christ knows not

When Father’ll decide to call His own.

When the time is just right in His great plot,

He’ll catch us up, matters not where we roam.

I know for sure who my Redeemer is.

I know for certain that He knows my name.

I don’t have to consult some chart or “whiz”

To know He’ll return, His power proclaim.

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus”

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
