Faith's Realities

Faith’s  Realities

Trouble free faith claims
More than Christ has promised.
Some messages aims
Are that ears be caressed.

You have become kings-
Much power in this world-
“Do it yourself” rings
As that message is hurled.

Life’s reality
Means no escapism.
Sure mortality -
Hopes sure Adventism.

Jesus gives me hope
Of my life in Heaven.
Life here - He helps cope
Midst this Earth’s leaven.

Spirit’s deposit
Guarantees what’s to come
Christ firmly points
For believers, this Home.

Christ calls us to Him
In Him we are joint heirs.
He fills hearts to the brim
And all our heartache bears.

Going to the Cross,
Dying there and rising,
Taking my sin’s dross -
Love , to me, surprising!

Jesus will return
To take us Home to Heav’n.
For that day I yearn.
It’s in Scripture woven.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
