All I Need

(By Geneva Poynter  (April, 2008)

Does God care about all my days,
The time between when I’m saved and I die?
Does He have a specific plan?
Am I left on my own to wonder why?

No – God is the One who made me.
I am not just a random accident.
Ere I was born, He set apart
And planned for life wherever it is spent.

My Lord has given all I need
From salvation all the way to heaven.
Many things in life are unfair,
But He’s sufficient through all life’s leaven.

My faith's like Jesus' disciples.
I share in the same Christian faith as they.
Christ Jesus calls me to this faith.
As I follow, He does not lead astray.

In Him there’s all I need for life,
Participating in His own nature.
The Holy Spirit dwells in me
For all I face in life’s architecture.

Satan pursues, but God is with me!

The doctors at the Mayo Brothers Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota told us in 2007  that Bill probably had about 3 years to live. Then he got better.  I wonder, if I had known then how right those doctors were, would I have written this poem?  I don't know.  I guess none of us know those kinds of things.
