Jesus - God's Final Word
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Jesus-God's Final Word

Melchizedek, a king and type of Christ,
Appointed a priest forever by God
Before Levitical priesthood ordained,
Or Moses or Aaron received God's nod,

Ruled and reigned before Levi existed.
The one hundred tenth Psalm says - God has sworn-
Christ is a Priest who, like Melchizedek,
Reigns forever! He would be the firstborn.

In times now long past, God spoke directly
To His prophets, and through them to His own
Chosen people, trekking toward Canaan.
Time and again, His mercies they had known.

In these last days, He's spoken through His Son
Whom He has appointed heir of all things.
We now have the complete revelation
Of Christ our Lord Who is the King of Kings!

Our salvation is found in none other.
Jesus is the Life, the Truth and the Way.
If we eclipse Him, His offer smother,
Shall we escape, who refuse to obey?

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
